On the gospel blog page there are daily readings to listen to, and also summaries of the weekend teaching on Luke. Check it out.
Check out our 'gospel' blog, going through the Luke's gospel between now and Easter. Introductory video for Luke 1 and 2 is up. Click here. Readings have been going out Monday to Friday on the Urban Life facebook page. We will put some of them on the gospel readings page from this week too.
Listen with us and here the good news of Jesus.
"Walking with God denotes an active habit, a communion in the common movements of the day. Some bow humbly before God in the hour of prayer (prayer meeting), others sit humbly in his presence at the time of meditation, and others work themselves up to draw near to God in seasons of religious excitement. But all this falls short of walking with God.
Walking is a common pace, an ordinary rate of progress and it does not seem to require great effort; but then it is a practical working pace, a rate at which one can continue on and on and make a day's journey by the time the sun is down. So walking with God means being with him in the common things, being with him on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - as well as the Sabbath (Sunday). It means being with him in the shop, with him in the kitchen, with him in the field, feeling his presence in buying and selling, in weighing and measuring, in ploughing and reaping - doing as for the Lord the most common acts of life."
Urban Life communities - followers of Jesus living life and bringing life in an urban setting!
The blog gives a snapshot of our life together as we post things we are learning about; things we believe; songs we love; readings and prayers to strengthen and help us; and general information about what is happening in our communities.
So here are updates, reviews, reminders and support for those who are part of our communities, and a chance to 'look in' for those who are interested and wondering what we are all about.
